The EC Screen is a quick cognitive screening tool using a core screening algorithm developed and validated by the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing currently provides follow-up dementia care services afterwards. Dementia is not a normal part of ageing and there is currently no treatment available to cure dementia. It is vital to promote early detection and early diagnosis for people with dementia in the community. EC Screen is an easy-to-use tool suitable for the general public to perform dementia screening by themselves. The app consists of three questions and can be completed within a few minutes. It also provides useful information and links to relevant online resources about dementia.
