The Jockey Club Post-diagnostic Support in Dementia Care Programme aims to provide support for people with mild cognitive impairment, mild dementia, and their caregivers. The programme promotes “early detection, early diagnosis and early intervention”. By training private medical practitioners in the community to help with diagnosis, family members and caregivers will be able to get help as soon as possible. It will help people with dementia get brain training, as well as equip caregivers with knowledge and care skills.
The online learning platform provides knowledge, caring techniques, emotional support and planning on taking care people with dementia. It targets for people with dementia which diagnosed in early stage as well as its family members or caregivers.
